Last blog post :( Finishing this while I am already home, how sad amazing view from the top floor of our hotel! bus ride with our new friends!! Our time with the Argentinian students was amazing. Cordoba was probably the place I had the most fun in, as we were all fully immersed in Argentinian culture. On the long hike we went on, one of the students even thought I attended UNC because of how good my Spanish was. He was so surprised to find out I was actually part of the Northeastern group. That day, which was also my 19th birthday, was probably one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had. I would never choose to do a seven-hour hike on my own, but having that long trek, seeing those gorgeous views, and getting to talk and learn more about each of the students made it such an amazing experience. tango lesson with friends :( Being in Cordoba reminded me a lot more of Colombia than I had expected. Patagonia & Magallanes!! We were here for about a week total and it was amazing. The vibe was a lot more “chill” than Santiago, but still very enjoyable and much more relaxing! We found a cafe that we really enjoyed, as well as the La Luna restaurant, which I visited three times! After an academic session at UMAG, some students came with us to the mall and had lunch with us! We walked around with them for a bit and got to know each other better. Here are some pics! Okay so first blog post!! For some context: - currently in Santiago, Chile on a Northeastern DOC - we're focusing on the effects of climate change on emerging economies - my FIRST time travelling outside of the country on my own (mom was freaking out) - it's been a very amazing experience so far :)) although I was very nervous in the beginning and I'm just starting to get comfortable with my peers (YAY) Now that that's out of the way.... Onto the actual post!
