Last blog post :( Finishing this while I am already home, how sad

amazing view from the top floor of our hotel!

bus ride with our new friends!!

Our time with the Argentinian students was amazing. Cordoba was probably the place I had the most fun in, as we were all fully immersed in Argentinian culture. On the long hike we went on, one of the students even thought I attended UNC because of how good my Spanish was. He was so surprised to find out I was actually part of the Northeastern group. That day, which was also my 19th birthday, was probably one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had. I would never choose to do a seven-hour hike on my own, but having that long trek, seeing those gorgeous views, and getting to talk and learn more about each of the students made it such an amazing experience.

tango lesson with friends :(

Being in Cordoba reminded me a lot more of Colombia than I had expected. The vibe of the whole city made me feel a little nostalgic from when I’d visit my family in Colombia, which I think made it a lot more emotional for me to leave than I was prepared for. On top of that, we had to say goodbye to everyone who made this beautiful experience possible, along with the 14 lifelong friends I made during this trip. I wish we had more time with the students, and with each other because Cordoba was a huge peak in the month we spent traveling together. This dialogue is something I’ll always cherish, and I’m so appreciative to everyone who made it possible.

Final Thoughts cont. (about 10 days later)

I still miss it so much.

As much as I enjoy being home, I think this whole experience is something that I won't be able to replicate anywhere else. I feel like I grew so much as a person too throughout the month. Thank you once again to everyone who made this possible!

Below are some more pictures from the trip :)
